We are offering paperless billing for water bills and refuse bills. Contact the Utility Clerk at 906-779-2052 or use our online form to sign up!

Breitung Township has two utilities that it offers its residents.  For the residents with their own wells, they're provided with weekly, curb-side refuse pick-up services.  The residents living in Quinnesec and East Kingsford without water wells are provided with township water as well as weekly, curb-side refuse pick-up services.  These accounts are managed by our Utility Clerk.

The Utility Clerk is responsible for:

  • Updating, adding and managing utility accounts
  • Posting water meter reads
  • Preparing billing cycles and reports
  • Collecting all utility bill payments

The Charter Township of Breitung does not switch utilities into renter's or tenant's names.  The home’s utilities will remain in the homeowner’s or landlord’s name, as they are the responsible party for all outstanding balances.  If you have questions about this policy, please call the Utility Clerk at the number listed below, or the Township Superintendent, Steve Mulka, at 906-779-2055.
